Greg Natale is a multi award-winning interior designer and the founder of Greg Natale Design, which he started in 2001. His company is one of Australia’s top interior design firms, championing the integration of design and decoration in residential and commercial spaces.
Known for his tailored style and use of bold colours and patterns, Greg takes a precise, considered approach to designing interiors, where each piece relates the next. He is passionate about the importance of layering to create warm, livable spaces, an aesthetic that has made him much sought-after in the industry.
Greg has been named Interior Designer of the Year at both the 2014 and 2011 Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Awards, as well as winning their award for Best Residential Interior in 2013. He has also appeared on the shortlists and highly commended lists for the Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Awards, the Australian Interior Design Awards and the Dulux Colour Awards among others, and he was awarded the inaugural Editors’ Medal at the 2014 Interior Design Excellence Awards for his significant contribution to interior design.
Greg’s designs have been featured in local magazines such as Belle, Vogue Living, Australian House & Garden, Modern Home Magazine, Real Living and Houses, UK magazines Elle and Wallpaper* and Russian Architectural Digest.
His first book, The Tailored Interior, published by Hardie Grant Books, was released in Australia in November 2014 to great reviews, and is due for publication in the US and UK in September 2015. It offers an insight into the creative process and the philosophy behind Greg’s work, with generous advice and anecdotes accompanied by stunning photographs from Anson Smart.
The past year has also seen Greg further his creative vision through several collaborations, producing new rug and carpet ranges for Designer Rugs, a wallpaper collection for Porter’s Paints, a tile range for Teranova, and furniture collections for Stylecraft and Worlds Away.
