    About Yasmin Boland

A lot of astrologers will tell you that they've been studying astrology since they were kids, finding out about Sun signs when they were 5, about Rising signs when they were 10, and so on...

Even though my school friends tell me I used to talk to them about their Star signs when we were kids, I really don’t remember it! It wasn’t until the 1990s that astrology came into the picture.

One afternoon, an astrologer friend who was clearing out her house gave me an ephemeris (a book of where the planets are) plus a little hand-drawn chart with an outline of the signs' and house meanings, and about 15 top astro books. And BOOM my world changed!

(Astro-note: No wonder, really, since I have Mars and Venus in Gemini in the 2nd and 3rd, and a Mercury/Uranus sextile from the 3rd to the 6th!)

I became instantly obsessed. I actually felt like I was remembering all the info I was reading (from a past life?!)

Pretty soon, I actually wondered if I was becoming too astro-obsessed, since I was studying astrology about two or three hours a day! (I was working as a freelance writer, so I could run my own hours – oh dear!)

I decided I needed to take a break – surely this obsession couldn’t be a GOOD thing??) So one afternoon my best friend and I we’d take allll my astrology books (which filled several milk crates) down to the garage, so I could focus on something else.

I kid you not - less than an hour or so later, my (French) flatmate of the time came into the flat ... holding a book-filled milk crate in each hand, saying "I found zeeze in zee garage ... zay are yours, non? " and dumped them down.

My friend and I burst out laughing and took it as a 'sign' that I shouldn't quit just yet!

These days, it's pretty much all I do workwise, and I love it. I finish working on writing astrology for work. Then I do astrology for fun. It amazes me, how far you can go with this subject. And I love writing and I love astrology so ... wow.

This could be your lucky week, thanks to the eclipse in Gemini. If you want to make changes in your life, it's like the Universe is giving you the biggest boost possible to make them. Many Geminis will look back on this period of their lives as a turnaround point. If you're suffering, try not to cling on to the past. That is not the way forwards. You can change your life.
