In 1980 over 800,000 people got married in Britain. This film takes twenty happy newly-weds who were featured in the August wedding pages of their local newspaper that year and discovers what’s happened to them, and their marriages, in the intervening twenty-five years.
We journey through their lives as each nostalgically shares their photos and film to tell very personal stories; from why they married, to important decisions regarding family. Over the years we learn of hardship and loss, and of happiness and love. As the couples talk, we also gain wonderfully moving and funny insights into the very nature of relationships - why do some work so well while others fail?
