Trinny & Susannah's Australian Makeover Mission

About the show

From unmotivated mums to fashion virgins, designer disasters and heavy hang-ups, this is back-to-basics for straight-talking style gurus Trinny and Susannah. They’re in Australia doing what they do best – turning the style challenged into the stylish with dramatic transformations. In each episode, Trinny and Susannah will target a different Australian city. They will find Australians who need their help and advice during their visits and in just 12 hours at each location, show them how to dress for their body type. With glamorous new outfits, hairstyles and make-up, the transformed participants then strut their stuff on a catwalk in front of friends and family. Every city is a new challenge and every group of women they meet is unique. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, but there’s a catch. The ladies must commit to a blind makeover. Every mirror is removed and their new look is kept top secret until they face their image on the catwalk at the end of the day. Tears and tantrums turn into excitement and ecstatic disbelief as these dramatic transformations arm them with confidence and a deserving moral boost.

I don't think so - I'm sure it can easily be done on a computer or something. Besides, if a big banner was put there it would've been on the news!

Trinny and Susannah completely turned my life around and made me realise that I need to focus a bit more on me, so busy being a mum and grandma that I forgot that. I couldn't be more thankful for their kind words and advice. It was a day I will always remember. Meeting all the other appreciative women was a wonderful experience too. I have watched them do the same to others so it was an absolute privilege to be able to experience it. Thankyou from Brisbane :)

I have been watching the Australian makeover mission,
seeing how Trinny and Susannah encourage women of all ages to love there bodys and them selfs
and if your a mum you still should take the time to look and feel good about your self.
thank you Trinny and Susannah of caring about the women of Austraila.

I absolutely love this show and the marvelous transformations, self-confidence boosters for women who don't know how beautiful they really are. Is their really a need for the explicit language T & S use though, brings the show down.

Trinny and Susannah, i wa wondering how i could book my mum in to meet you, we dont have foxtell so we dont watch your show much but everytime your westfield add comes on the tv she always says something about how much she's love to meet you so you show her what styles and colours suit her well, she doesnt have to be filmed, or meet the catwalk. she just wants some good advice on how to dress because she is always jealous of her tall blonde beautiful best friend who looks good in anything. i realy want to book her in to see you for mothers day, but it wouldnt matter when she saw you, we live in Newcastle but i sure shed be more than willing to travel to sydney to see you. Please help...

Hi AC and thank you for your kind comments :) The main things I learnt on the day was not to dress too old for my age (52) And also wear decent undergarments :) Still getting used to wearing heels after many years of wearing 'nanna' shoes too ...

You don't know what you are talking about. I am an Aussie woman and out of all the women I meet about half don't know what looks good on them..... I was one of the lucky few that had the Aussie makeover and let me tell you that I wish I had the chance to have it years ago...
Thanks Trinny and Susannah had a great time and all my friend say I am a new women

      April 2011

Well said Blue 212. A couple of dropkicks who can't make it their a country that is depressingly grey,4 foot deep in snow most of the year and they come out here to tell Aussie women what to wear. Aussie women could teach them how to dress and generally their dress sense is second to none.Support dropkicks like this pair and they will keep coming.

I am so looking forward to seeing my makeover aired on Lifestyle You. It was truely the best experience a girl could ever want. Trinny and Susannah are such lovely ladies, full of advice which I have taken on board. So much fun being treated like a "real model" for the day and the premier of the series will have me reliving this experience again.

I didn't receive a makeover from you both but I watched a program with you both, which motivated me enough to start clearing out my wardrobe, and stop dressing like a frump! Thankyou for giving me that push as my husband said I looked really nice when he got home and my daughter was impressed as well xxxxx
