Digital manipulation is when an image is altered using computer programming tools to then produce a new image which often generates a new meaning or perspective to its audience. The media has always been a role modelling and promoting device for the public. It sets an example of what “should” or “is “expected of people to look, dress and even behave like. When images in the media are manipulated it can provide viewers with a false perspective of what is “reality”. In a way it seems that the media and our peers opinions have made people become over obsessed with insignificant imperfections. With the latest computer technology rapidly evolving, we are able to digitally manipulate images to the extent that peoples views become blurred. The ethics of photo manipulation raises the question of how far can we take digital image manipulation and still maintain photographic integrity? The public are exposed to re touched images nearly every day of our lives through magazines, billboards, television, the internet and many more sources which influences how we perceive others and even ourselves.

I thought the same thing Matt. Louise Redknapp seemed to care more about her body and what she looks like than about her baby. I was begining to wonder if this baby existed until we breify see her holding the child for a split second at the end of the segmant.
By any chance did you catch the website of the post pregnancy bodies.
