In The Ten Demandments one lucky ten year-old gets to turn the tables on their Mum, Dad and siblings in two weeks of revealing, riotous and occasionally controversial rolereversal. We meet the star of the show, a ten year-old, find out all about them and their family, and learn just what they'd change about their family life if only they had the chance, as the child writes up their Ten Demandments.
In a surprise intervention, the family is issued with the Demandments, which they must agree to live by for a full two weeks. Maybe the kid will want to dress their parents however they see fit for two weeks, to stop them wearing unfashionable clothes? Or maybe they’ll want dad to give up smoking? Whatever the kid's Demandments, the rest of the family will abide by them. Some may be serious, others more light-hearted. Either way they're going to happen and one Demandment will become a permanent fixture in their household. With a ten year-old ruling the roost, they're out to sort out all the things they don't like about their family life… and with a dream holiday to be won if the family stick by the new rules, there's every incentive for Mum and Dad to find out that life can be child’s play...
