Five ordinary teenage couples from across the UK take part in a unique, month long social experiment to see just how prepared they are for the toughest job of all – parenting. They’ll move in together for the first time and be given other peoples’ babies to look after, swiftly followed by toddlers, pre-teens, teens and finally the elderly and infirm.
Through this emotional, dramatic journey, each young couple get a unique opportunity to peer into the future and see what they (and their partners) might be like if they remain together and decide to build a family. So, with nappies, toddler taming, teenage tantrums and old-age incontinence to deal with, will their relationships survive the stresses and strains of adult life? And what will they learn about themselves and their assumptions of parenthood? Fast-forwarding these teenagers straight into adult life with four weeks of non-stop babysitting might just prove to be the ultimate contraceptive. Will they decide to stay together at the end of it all?
