Nicole "Moonie" Moon is repsonsible for taking Matthew Hayden's garden from bare to beautiful. She has always been passionate about sustainable living and sustainable garden design.
After studying visual arts in Queensland she moved to Sydney to work in the film industry. During that time Nicole studied horticulture and garden design which led her to initiate her own landscape design business in 2005 called Moonscape Garden Design.
As well as running her own company, she has been Brendan Moar's design assistant for Series 1 and 2 of Dryspell Gardening on The LifeStyle Channel.
Inspired by Brendan, Nicole has combined her visual arts, horticulture and garden design background with the importance of practical and beautiful structural elements in her gardens.
This is evident in her recent work on Matthew Hayden's Home Ground where she has created an edible garden based on the principles of permaculture for Matt.
Looking forward, Nicole wants to continue creating beautiful outdoor spaces that can include 'The Kitchen Garden' no matter how large or small the space. With Matthew Hayden's Home Ground. Nicole hopes to inspire people to see that you can have a sustainable garden without compromising on design.
