Just watched hot properties. What is with these dumb people who bid at auctions?... Tonight, guy with tatts and girlfriend bid $520k for the property, they are the last bidders. Then the agent puts in a vendors bid of 525K... The guy guy with tatts bids again $527,500 and buys the property... Did'nt he realise he was bidding against himself. he finished up paying $7500 more than he should have...Talk about thick.
Hi there. Last year on Dec 1, we were filmed at the auction of the house that we purchased. We were told it would air in March. Hi my name is Aram Ashikian. I am about to commence renovations on my home, because we are about to sell it, the reason being the home loan being in defult thanks to the GFC. It is in great need of TLC, our propety is in terrible condition, It is a large house on the North Shore of Sydney ( Forestville), on a coner, it is a 1 and a half story house, with 5 bedrooms, 2 bathroom, 1.5 kitchens, 2 lounges, 1 large dining, large front yard able to fit 12 parked cars comfortably not including the garage, 2 car garage, large back yard, Swimming pool aprox. 8m x 3m and we have no idea where to start. I have seen Hot Propety create miracles to homes, I am hoping you could do the same for us!

How sick is it to watch people sit in their house and hope that some slick Real Estate Agent will get them some price that the property is not even worth. House prices in Australia are so inflated. Just think of it say 500K for a house for the average battler thats not even an option. This show sucks!

This show is despicable, having lost my house during the GFC. I can't see why people want to sit and watch people get outrageous prices for their houses. This show doesn't show the other side of the coin. Its more interested in the slick Real Estate Agents who really don't give a flying rhymes with truck about the people buying or selling the house. Why not a follow up show not so hot property when the people who have got sucked up in the hype of an auction lose everything because they have overspent and housing markets have changed. This show makes my skin crawl and I can't beleive people would watch it!

B.J Pearson. There are only two reasons a property doesn't sell. It's either insufficiently marketed and does not reach a large enough or qualified enough audience. Or it is simply too expensive. 8 months and 4 agents later I cannot believe it is insufficiently marketed?? Buyers are screaming their opinion loudly and clearly for everyone to hear except it would appear the seller. No TV show will provide the panacea to unsold properties. Frank, honest and open dialogue with a reputable agent is the only medicine for this complaint. Appraised prices mean nothing as they are simply a mechanism with which many agents use to win the listing of a sellers property. What are buyers saying about the home? What are the weekly reports from the real estate agent saying about the activities, progress and outcomes? How many inspections has the property received? The answer lies in these fundamentals.
