Homes Under The Hammer

About the Show

About the Show

Hosted by UK property gurus Lucy Alexander and Martin Roberts, each episode of Homes Under The Hammer follows the fortunes of three properties and their nervous owners, as they go through the auction process. Lucy and Martin take us through the anxious wait as properties are viewed prior to the auction, and later share in the excitement of the auction room itself, as members of the public bid for each lot. Lucy and Martin return with the properties’ new buyers, to discover the fate of the property and discuss the buyers’ plans. After three months, the cameras return to discover what progress has been made and whether any profit is on the cards. Featuring real-life purchases made by ordinary people alongside opinions and commentary by property-developing experts, Homes Under The Hammer explores the risks, expectations, dreams and realities of buying property in the auction house.

agree with Fiona - Australia is so far behind yet each ep is screened 4 times a day so why not use that time to catch us up?

They are always banging on about viewing property first. I saw a program where the female presenter was followed looking for and buying a large property. She broke every rule, I tell a lie, she looked through the letter box. The sale was apparently successfull but we did see her and her husband outside council offices in danger of losing money because of problems.

So much for the advice they give.

When are you going to show up to date episodes? Most of the episodes are very old and no longer valid with prices etc.
