“Holmes in New Orleans” is a two-hour Documentary that provides and in-depth examination of one of the most important recovery and reconstruction efforts in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans.
Nearly 30 months after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, the majority of displaced residents from the Lower 9th have been unable to rebuild and make their way home.
Partnering with the Make it Right Foundation, Mike Holmes and his crew commit to building the Foundation’s first home, a world-class, LEED Platinum home, in ten short weeks.
In addition to documenting the challenges of constructing such a unique and environmentally sustainable home, the program will explore what happened in the Lower 9th Ward, why the levees failed, and why it’s been so hard for the residents of this community to recover from America’s worst natural disaster.
