    Hi

    I live in Melbourne Australia.
I am an avid watcher of all your shows. I Love them all.

Yesterday I watched the second series of your Winton ‘making people happy ‘programme.
There was a segment that showed a problem with one of the residences in that it had no back door handle so you had to create car parking space at the front of the house. My thoughts were that what if the resident went outside for any reason and used the back door, what if it slammed shut and they couldn’t get back in, especially if there were children inside the house at the time and they were outside and could not get in.
Surely that fault is a health and safety issue and I’m sure would not get passed through Council in Australia.

    Regards

    Ann

Kensington: Claire needs a cup of cement. Why do people take on a project if they don't have planning permission and/or sufficient funds?

I would like to find the details of a round log fire I saw a 2010 episode. The episode where the widowed mother carried on building the house. Her husbands name was Nat.

Saw the Cotswolds episode last night - "uk's first passive home". Aesthetically left me cold. But I am curious about the effect of removing all drafts out of a house, completely. They seal this house to well over 10 times the UK air-leakage standard. It was almost airtight. Great for retaining heat.... but can you go too far? What happens when you cook? -could a gas stove top burn up the oxygen in the house? (dont laugh - unflued's gas heaters do). When does "fresh air" become "drafts"?
