Building their house is a dream, but finishing it might be a nightmare. Over the course of this series, Dream House follows Oregon-based couple, Geno and Silene Rush, as they take their home from foundations to the finishing touches. Geno and Silene want to build the home of their dreams in a neighbourhood they love, by undertaking a radical remodel of their current home. To hold down costs, they handle as much of the demolition as possible by themselves and even move in with Silene's parents during the work. The cameras look on as they crack through rocky terrain, battle the elements, build on extreme angles, contend with opinionated contractors and watch as their money is stretched to the max, all with the ultimate goal of building their dream home.
