In Consumed, overwhelmed families drowning in their possessions undertake an extreme home experiment. They are challenged to survive for 30 days with only the bare essentials, a few personal items and 10 things to share. With their worldly possessions temporarily gone, they have no choice but to confront their relationships with each other as well as the effect of clutter in their lives. At the end of the experiment, the way they see their material possessions, their homes, and each other is through a different lens.
But can families who have fallen prey to the allure of a consumer society, and who in turn are consumed by their environment, change? Jill Pollack serves as a guide, provocateur and expert in the series, bringing many challenges to overwhelmed families, shepherding them through the experience of living with less. Along the way, there may be anger, tears, laughter and even joy.
How do you sign up your family for an Episode?
Hi, I have watched one show and the effect was AMAZING!! I could not sleep much the night after watching the program and the next day I was up and into cleaning/clearing the house. To have had the clearing modelled and to see how it impacts on family members was very, very helpful. I want to now watch more and to keep the momentum going. THANKYOU!! :)
