About the show

With generation after generation of girls giving birth in their teens, Britain is witnessing the emergence of a new kind of grandma. Sexy, glamorous and 30-something! Nobody would believe they were grandmas. Not the other mothers in the baby class and certainly not the men they meet in bars and clubs. From Tara who became a grandma at 32, to Tracey whose 16 year-old daughter had a baby when she was just 35, we meet the young women from across the UK as they wrestle with the joy, the shock and the sheer madness of being one of Britain’s youngest grannies. Was it a nightmare for these grandmas to watch their daughters repeat their ‘mistake’ and become a teen mum? And were they disappointed or overjoyed at their failure to break the chain?
