About the show

Fewer marriages take place in the UK now than ever before and teenage weddings are almost a thing of the past. However, in Britain’s Youngest Brides we meet five teenagers who are desperate to walk down the aisle and say “I do”. The reasons they choose to marry are all different.

18 year-old Catrina dreams of being the perfect housewife cooking, cleaning and bringing up children. 18 year-old Kayley is marrying fifty-five year old Phil for love. 16 year-old Ayisha’s parents have organised an arranged marriage; pregnant 17 year-old Naeden wants to be a married mum to her unborn twins; and 17 year-old Lauren is marrying her childhood sweetheart and the soldier of her dreams, Nik. It is an emotional journey for all involved as these young girls are forced to leave their teens behind and become women.
