Maybe it was smudging on blush when you were four, slathering your lips with strawberry flavored lip balm at eight or sneaking dabs of your big sister’s palette of eye shadows as a teen… many of us have a budding makeup artist inside. For most of us, this fascination with paint pots and tubes never really fades away. However, for some, the interest turns into a passion and a makeup artist is born! Blush is the search for the next great make-up artist. Eight of the hottest up-and-coming artists compete in LA for the chance to win $100,000 and an enviable contract with cosmetics giant Max Factor.
Each week the contestants are put through challenges designed to test the skills, talents and personality traits necessary to become a successful makeup artist. Host Vanessa Marcil (Las Vegas and General Hospital), will be on hand to support and guide the contestants who will ultimately be judged by industry heavyweights; InStyle fashion director Hal Rubenstein and make-up artist Joanna Schlip.
