Set to open mid next year, Zara is considered to be the most successful retail fashion brand in the world with nearly 1900 stores in more than 60 countries.
Louis Vuitton fashion director Daniel Piette reportedly described Zara as, "possibly the most innovative and devastating retailer in the world" and with 10,000 new clothing lines a year, it’s easy to see why.
Zara’s entry into the Aussie market is sure to have stores like Country Road and Witchery quaking in his leather boots. Zara also has a home and men’s division which could rival these stores, too.
The fact that the brand has over three million fans on Facebook is also a good indicator of its popularity. TopShop, another hugely popular overseas brand, has just over 600,000.
