:: Trousers and jeans should fall to the bottom of the heel
:: Don't wear black shoes with light-coloured clothing unless the sandals are extremely dainty
:: Black shoes shouldn't be worn with brightly-coloured clothes as they cheapen the colours. Black shoes look best with darker colours
:: If you have thick ankles, avoid flat, ballerina-style shoes and ankle straps which cut across the ankle
:: Avoid thin, teetering heels if you have skinny legs – the heels will look like they're going to snap under the weight of your body, which appear heavier than your legs
:: If you are pear-shaped, avoid dainty kitten heels.

Totally agree!
Also make sure that you know how to walk in your shoes and that they fit properly. There is nothing worse than watching someone trying to walk in heels that they are unable to control.
In addition make sure your shoes fit properly, toes and heels should not hang over the edge (shoes too small), or to the other extent where feet dont meet the ends of the shoes (shoes too big). Shoes can make or break an outfit...no wonder they are a womans best friend, men will never understand the importance of the right shoes!
Such good tips!
Also: make sure you look after your shoes. There's nothing worse than tattered or dirty shoes - or when you forget to take the price sticker off the bottom! Take your shoes to the cobbler for a quick fix or give them a polish at home. You'll be surprised at the difference it makes to the whole outfit.
