Well a new show on LifeStyle YOU gives you that chance. Meet Tinsley Mortimer. She is the crème da la crème of the NYC social world and she is giving us a peek inside her life.
High Society follows her from charity event to club opening, from one designer store to the next. But what this show reveals is a lot more exciting than your average Prom Queen expose because behind all the Gucci and Prada is a world of scandals, gossip and backstabbing that you have to see to believe!
So just who is Tinsley? Here’s a quick run-down.
Name: Tinsely Mortimer
Occupation: Fashion designer
Marital status: She is recently divorce from her high school sweetheart Topper Mortimer. “For me, having my divorce be in the papers, it’s difficult because it’s all over the papers and people are weighing in on it,” she revealed to OK!. “But I guess you always have to look at the bright side of things. I think it has made me stronger and you learn who your real friends are.”
Friends: Paul Johnson Calederon, the devilish Jules Kirby and her sister Dabney Mercer who all appear in the show. “It gives a little taste of different types of people in the social world in New York,” she says.
Family: Tinsley was born in Virginia, USA. Her father is a real-estate investor, and her mother is an interior designer.
Tattoos: Two tattoos on the inside of her wrist. They say "BeBe" and "Bella," the names of her Chihuahuas. “They're my babies. If I want to cover them up, I can - by wearing great bangles,” she says. She also has her ex husband’s initials inked on her hip. Despite the divorce, she says she plans to keep it because the memory is part of her past.
Endorsements: She has a handbag line with Japanese-based designer Samantha Thavasa.
