• Wash your dog in a mixture of tea and mint: brew up a good pot of strong tea, adding in 8 teaspoons of fresh mint or 4 teaspoons of dried mint (allow it to brew) and wash the dog in this warm (not hot) concoction thoroughly all over.
• The mint deters mites and fleas and the tannic acid in the tea contracts the dog’s blood vessels, reducing swelling and itching.
• Rinse dogs in this mixture every week to keep them clean and comfortable (just a quick dip in and out, no scrubbing) and make sure you also soak the dog’s bedding in the same potion.
• The mint will also help soften jute bedding.

Do you shampoo dog 1st. My little shitzu gets grubby and i can't see how that would clean her coat. She suffers from red itchy skin and want to he'd her.
I bathed my dog in blue dawn dish soap (he had fleas), then used a medium pot and just brewed the tea strong. I think I used 2 family size tea bags and 1 I had left over from the night before from my peppermint tea. ;) I also added the peppermint oil while it was brewing and a little lavender to calm my dog mentally and physically. It helped SO MUCH! From a very itchy dog who always seems bothered to a happy dog who doesn't itch at all!!! And bye bye fleas!
Shannon Lush advises elsewhere that dogs don't like lavender oil - may want to skip this oil.
How much water do u add it too ???
