water easement
Answered Tuesday 4 September 2012 |Share:

Hi charlie I recently bought land in casino nsw and it has a 35m long by 3 m wide water easement that also is about 1 m deep at one end. I have spoken to the local council and basically was told I can tidy it up to mow it easier but thats about it , I did ask if I could use rock to turn it into a dry creek bed and the planner was receptive to that but the cost wouldn't be pleasent ,Help !! I need some ideas please charlie

Easements are a bit difficult to deal with as the council have the right to rip up whatever you have done to gain access to the sewer below - at your cost too! I would keep it simple. A dry river bed would be great but the cost may mean that perhaps you could plant it with tube stocks of low grasses for a softer effect.
