Question

Hi Donny, I work as a Production Manager in a media in a digital agency in Surry Hills (hipster haven) and the office dress code is somewhere along the lines of "casual office casual". I can't seem to get that fine line right! i always feel under or over dressed. In addition i've recently lost 8 kilos and it feels like everything is falling off me. What are some good stores that will help me look dressed for work, but not overdressed in my casual office? Preferably stores that will style me a bit as i'm kinda bad at mixing and matching pieces. I've been finding Witchery quite good, but i probably need to branch out a bit more. THANKS HEAPS Sarah

Answer

Hi Sarah, Great question! I find that the 'casual office' dress policy usually see's girls wearing lots of tops, blouses, shirts, pants and jeans. We often forget about the humble little dress. The little dress can save you so much time in the morning as you won't have to match a top and bottom. A fab little dress can be dressed down with a cardigan and flats or dressed up with a jacket/ blazer and heels. It can even get you from day to night, even from weekdays to weekends. So versatile. Looking at your photo, you have gorgeous curves. Try a wrap dress, they are super easy to wear and fabulous on curves. Look for one in a good quality jersey fabric. Not only will it drape on your perfectly, but no need to iron them. In terms of stores try: Portmans, Events, Cue, Shieke, Glassons, Veronika Maine. The new Stella McCartney range for Target also has some great pieces. Thanks for dropping me a line. Cheers, Donny Donny Galella Fashion Stylist
