Hi Cherie,
I am extremely interested in becoming a Full Time renovator, I have studied Interior design and am working as a Kitchen Designer. Would love to get into property renovating. Do you have any tips or advice that would help?
Thanks
Kind Regards

Answer
Hi Jessica,
You're obviously very passionate about property having studied interior design and working as a kitchen designer. These are definately 2 skill sets that will come in good use in your property renovation or development projects. I'm presuming finances aren't in surplus supply and that your young and just starting out. There are lots of ways you get started in property without any money (ie: spotters / site scout fees, vendor finance, options, joint ventures, project management arranagements, the list goes on and on). I could write a book on how you do each of these things alone and unfortunately I cant explain the process for each of these in a simple email.
What you need to do is accumulate as much knowledge as you can before you buy so you understand the whole process from start to finish. Read books, subscribe to property forums, jump on the facebook pages of people such as myself so you can start enjoying dialogue from other people in renovating communities and attend free property seminars. There are lots of them around. A really good free event you can attend to increase your property knowledge is Stuart Zadel's Think And Grow Rich Property Events (www.tgrproperty.com.au). He does a few rounds of cashflow events and specific property events and its the property ones you want to attend. Stuart brings in Australia's top property experts to speak at these events (including myself) so you will absolutely walk away a lot smarter and more knowledgeable in property by attending these events regardless of whether you enroll in any of the speakers programs or not! Hope this helps. Good luck!
Cherie.
