Hi :) Love your show! :) i was just wondering can you please help me just with some information. i am only a yr 9 student but i really really want to become an Interior Designer so im willing to work for it later in the future .. i just dont know how to become one... can you please help me? just please tell me what i need to become a Interior Designer and how hard is it in the industry to get hired by a company/client? Hi J so glad you are watching the show at such a young age! I am not sure where you live but there are many good design institutes that have Interior Design and the length of the course will determine the type of design you do. there are 1 yr decorating tha can get you into styling. Interior Design for 2 yrs that will get you into an assistant role at a design firm to start with and then the four year Architectural Interior Design so you can design everything interior wise. Year nine is the time to explore your freehand drawing skills, you computer skills and exploring your creativity with out taking it all to seriously (that will all come later). Express your design ideas in anyway you can and enjoy the freedom it gives you. It is a hard industry as there are so many talented people out there but if you are passionate, go for it!!! Good Luck!
