QuestionAsk Cherie

Hi Cherie, my home is over 25 years old and is in need of a makeover. It is a single storey, brick home with 3 bedrooms and a study. I have considered moving however there are no properties in my area that I would consider "near new". Ideally, I'd like to have a re-paint, change of window furnishings, light fixtures, carpet (to floorboards) and perhaps a new kitchen/bathroom/ensuite. Obviously finances will play a part! I saw your makeover of the home featured in a recent episode of the "Living Room" on Channel 10. Can you recommend anyone in Victoria that would handle such job with a given budget? Many thanks, Lucy

Answer

Hi Lucy, You have 2 options here: 1) Do my renovation course, check out www.renovatingforprofit.com.au where I can teach you how to do it yourself. This will be your cheapest option as you will not be paying a fee for someone else to project manage your reno for you. or 2) I may be able to get one of my Victorian students to project manage your renovation for you. Should one of my students do this for you, they will charge you a project management fee. If you want to go ahead with Option 2, please send an email to my office (Email: admin@renovatingforprofit.com.au) mentioning we've liased via the Foxtel website) and full details of your property (low res photo's, floorplan, details of what you'd like to do to your property and its location). I can then match you up with one of my students who may be willing to project manage the reno for you. Hope this helps, Cherie :-) Cherie Barber Renovations Expert
