Q: HOW DO I KNOW IF IM LOGGED ONTO THE SITE?
You'll know if you’re logged in to the site if you can see your name or nickname appearing at the top right hand side of the site along with your member photo (avatar). It should read "welcome NAME". If you do not see this, simply log into the site using the sign in pod located in the right hand side of the site or at the very top of the site in the right hand corner.
A nickname is used in the forums for posting comments, questions and responses so you don't have to use your real name if you do not feel like it. If you do not choose one yourself, the site chooses a generic one for you which you can change anytime you like in your profile.
An AVATAR is simply a picture used to represent yourself online. It can be a real photo of yourself, something you like or even a random image that is used in conjunction with your profile to give other members a visual reference of you.
A public profile simply means that all your favourite things from the LifeStyle site can be shared with other members and visitors. With a public profile you can send links to your friends and family that displays your recipe collections you have uploaded or even links to recipes that you used to cook that great meal last night. It does not mean that people have access to your personal details. These are securely held in our database and you can choose what information you would like other members to know about you on your public profile.
Q: WHY DO I NEED TO GIVE MY DATE OF BIRTH?
We use your date of birth to make sure that you are over certain age limits when we have special offers or competitions that require proof of age. We never share your details with anyone in line with our privacy policy
Q: I HAVE SIGNED UP BUT NOT RECEIVED MY REGISTRATION EMAIL WITH MY LOG IN DETAILS.
Check that the email has not landed in your junk folder or been blocked by your computer’s security firewall. It is a good idea to add our email address - club@lifestylechannel.com.au - to your safe list.
Q: WHY CAN'T I ENTER A COMPETITION?
To enter the competitions you must be a member of the website. Make sure you are logged in to the site before you enter and all your details will appear in the fields that you have already entered details for to save you time. If you change any details in the entry form while you are logged on your profile information will also be updated for you automatically.
